Google and Chrome disclosure

Effective date: 10 September 2026. This page is the public counterpart to Chrome Web Store Limited Use and Google API language used by Gmail extensions. Email Tracking 1.2 does not use Google APIs.

What we do not do

• No Gmail API, Gmail add-on, or Google OAuth consent screen in this version.
• No read/send/delete of your mailbox through Google.
• No Google Drive, Contacts, or Calendar scopes.
• We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or ML models.

Products such as Streak or Mailtrack that connect a Google account publish a different disclosure because they request those APIs. Copying their OAuth text would be false for Email Tracking. A later paid feature would request Google OAuth only if that feature needs it, and only after this page and the Privacy Policy are updated.

What the Chrome extension does

• storage — settings, disclosure acknowledgement, local To/subject/fingerprint/thread bind, local history and reminders, install secret.
• alarms — status polling and due reminders.
• Optional notifications — desktop alerts for a first qualifying signal and for reminders you set. Tracking works without this permission.
• Host access to https://mail.google.com/* — content scripts on Gmail web (compose, including “Track this message”, Undo snackbar, Sent row UI).
• Host access to https://pixel.sentcue.com/* (and historically t.sentcue.com) — register/arm/cancel/status/config and the tracking image. Review builds do not include localhost.

Message body, attachments, passwords, and Gmail cookies are not sent to the SentCue backend. To, subject, fingerprint, thread id, history, and reminders stay in Chrome storage on your device in this version. Global Off always wins over the per-message compose control.

Problem reports and uninstall feedback

The popup and history.html offer a “Report a problem” form, and the uninstall page at sentcue.com/uninstall offers an optional short survey. Both post to POST /feedback on pixel.sentcue.com: a fixed problem type or uninstall reason, the extension version, a coarse browser version, and an optional free-text description you write yourself. Neither ever carries a message subject, recipient address, message body, Gmail thread id, or tracking token. The authenticated report from the extension is tied to your install identifier and is removed by Delete tracking data for this install; the anonymous uninstall survey carries no install identifier and expires under the same retention window as other stored data. Limited Use

User data handled by the extension is used only to provide or improve the disclosed single purpose: show the Gmail-web sender a technical activity signal for messages they choose to track, keep local history and reminders on this install, and optional desktop notifications; plus security, operations, or legal requirement. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
