1. 1. Pin Email Tracking

   Click the puzzle icon in Chrome, then pin Email Tracking.

   

2. 2. Open Gmail and click the icon

   Use Gmail on the web in this Chrome. Click the Email Tracking icon in the toolbar: that popup is where you turn tracking on or off, set reminders, and open History for messages you sent from this Chrome. If Gmail was already open, it may reload and show a notice — that is expected.

   

3. 3. Send a test email

   If Gmail shows a short notice, confirm it once. Then send one email to yourself with a unique subject and watch its circle in Sent.

• Just sent — Undo window. Signals in this window are not counted.
• Waiting — no activity signal yet.
• Activity detected — A blue circle means that an activity signal was detected. It does not guarantee that the recipient read the message.
