SentCue vs Mailtrack

Both products add email tracking to Gmail. The jobs are different. Mailtrack by Mailsuite is a tracking suite: campaigns, mail merge, link activity, and a cloud history. SentCue Email Tracking is a Chrome extension for one-thread follow-ups. History stays on this device. This version does not ask for a SentCue account or Gmail OAuth.

Facts below were checked on Mailtrack’s site and their Google Workspace listing on 13 September 2026. Plans and wording change. Read their pages before you switch. We do not copy their prices here.

What you are choosing

If you send lists, need the same dashboard on a phone, or want to know which person in a group loaded a link, Mailtrack is built for that class of work. SentCue will not grow into that product. We do not insert campaign tools, sequences, or a shared inbox view.

If you already write one important email in Gmail and want a cue when the tracking image is requested — then a reminder on this computer — SentCue is the smaller tool. A blue circle means that an activity signal was detected. It does not guarantee that the recipient read the message.

Account and Gmail access

SentCue does not create a membership and does not call the Gmail API in this version. Mailtrack’s Workspace listing asks for Gmail access so the add-on can work inside Google’s account model. That is a normal design for a suite. It is also the reason some people look for a Mailtrack alternative that never sees the mailbox.

History and the free plan

Mailtrack’s public pricing page lists a Free plan with unlimited tracked emails, a promotional signature, and a first-open log. Paid tiers on that same page remove the signature and add longer cloud history, plus suite features. SentCue’s free plan has no signature and no account. Local history is capped at 500 rows and 90 days. There is no cloud restore if you wipe the profile.

Follow-up, not “opened”

Mailtrack’s homepage says you can know when emails are opened. That is their wording. SentCue stays on activity: a request for the tracking image after Gmail’s Undo window. Proxies and scanners can still create a blue circle. Use the cue to decide when to write again, not as proof.
